Disable AppNap in 10.10

When running any of our virtual camera apps (CamCamX, GrabberRaster, VirtualEyez etc) in the background under 10.10 - please be sure to disable AppNap (an energy-saving feature of 10.10 OS X). Otherwise the OS will freeze the camera app after about 3 minutes.
