BIG SUR:INTEL - We have identified an issue with VirtualEyez 2.1.641 on Big Sur. High Sierra or Catalina is recommended.

Today we have released version 2.1.641 of VirtualEyez, our 8-input 1280x720p 30fps live video switcher with greenscreen removal (keying) and screencasting/grabbing. In this version we have vastly improved support for high-power multi-core Macs and upped the frame rate from 24fps to 30fps for livestreaming to Twitch.tv and other gaming services.

FEATURES INCLUDE:

• Pencast or Screencast from your lightning- or USB-C-connected iPad.
• Screencast from any/multiple running macOS Applications.
• Connect up to 8 external cameras.
• Color controls and keying on every channel, including grabbed screen images.
• Low-latency and low CPU usage for integration with existing livestreaming workflows.

The included app is an Apple Notarized fat 32/64-bit binary with drivers for both QuickTime VDIG and CoreMediaIO (AVFoundation). The latter works with the modern macOS and the former compatible with any crusty old QuickTime(tm) compatible webcam apps that you know and love.

System requirements are any Intel-based Mac running 10.8, 10.9, 10.10, 10.11, 10.12, 10.13, 10.14 or 10.15 Catalina. In other words, any Mac you have purchased in the last decade.

VirtualEyez 2.1.64 now Notarized by Apple

Our VirtualEyez eight channel (720p HD) live streaming video switcher has now been notarized by Apple for use with Catalina.

All features of the 64-bit version should be active but the integrated grabber (screencasting feature) virtual camera requires 32-bit mode (not available on Catalina 10.15 and later). To use the built-in grabber (screencaster), you will need a Mac running 10.13 or 10.14. An earlier OS might work if the CPU is powerful enough to push multiple real-time camera sessions.

VirtualEyez HD & OBS Studio 23.2.1 (or higher)

The hard working folks behind OBS Studio have (or via changes to macOS) added support for VirtualEyez HD virtual camera output to the OBS software.  You can now switch up to eight camera inputs, including desktop screencasts (when using in 32-bit mode under High Sierra) and route the output of VirtualEyez HD into OBS Studio as a camera source.

VirtualEyez now with eight channels of 1280x720p HD video with greenscreen removal and integrated screencasting. Combine live camera sources with screencasting from incoming Skype or FaceTime (or indeed, from the contents of any onscreen window) along with screen casting of any iOS Device (requires Yosemite or later).

COMPATIBILITY: Snow Leopard (10.6), Lion (10.7), Mountain Lion (10.8), Mavericks (10.9), Yosemite (10.10), El Capitan (10.11), Sierra (10.12), High Sierra (10.13), Mojave (10.14) and Catalina (10.15). Live long and phosphorus (glowing)! NOTE: On Catalina (10.15) and later, the built-in screen-casting (Grabber camera input) will not be available. CamCamX updated to 1.811

CamCamX, the live webcam mixer for Mac, now features increased performance on all modern multi-core Macs.

Version 1.811 includes several performance optimizations for OpenGL and Intel multicore processors. This update is recommended for all customers running 1.810.

The new lower-third title feature has been improved. Switching to a view of of the presidential debate on Camera B? Simply type "DEBATE" in the title field and the output automagically reflects the value.

Probably the most practical new feature in 1.811 is the ability to set arbitrary rotation and scaling values on the mix to secondary display. If you're using a projector mounted upside down or need to otherwise rotate the display to match some environmental situation, CamCamX can address it.

GrabberRaster now streams live to any QuickLook or QuickTime application

GrabberRaster has been updated to support live streaming to any QuickLook or QuickTime enabled application. This release corrects compatibility problems with the live streaming and Finder's support for QuickLook.

For example, you can use GrabberRaster with iChat Theatre to stream your grab rectangle to whoever you're chatting with.
